After a long day on the Road to Hana, we resolved to stay at the resort for the following day until our Luau that night. We had a nice breakfast at our resort and relaxed by the pool before snorkeling in the ocean the rest of the afternoon. The snorkeling on Kaan’appali is, from what I’ve heard, some of the best on the island. It definitely did not disappoint. Finley was a little afraid to venture too far out, but Wade held our hands as we guided him out and was so excited to see all the different fish. MAUI part 2 road to hana guide
Having been to Maui twice as a young kid, the thing I remember most about it was the Road to Hana. So I was very excited to share this with Daniel and the kids. We packed a picnic lunch and some snacks and set off, not too early, but early enough to try and beat any crowds. I think going during the “off” season was especially helpful. It was still busy because there really is no “off” season in paradise, but I was happy to see that the farther down the road we got, the less people we came into contact with. Continue reading
MAUI part 1
Oh, did we have a good time in Maui. No, we had a GREAT time in Maui. We spent 6 days and 6 nights in Maui the first week of December. Though, of course, would have loved to spend a few more days there, we really felt like we saw and did all we hoped to when we planned this trip almost a year ago. We booked a condo in Ka’anapali Beach and rented a convertible for the week. Continue reading
